 Any time of the year is a good time to visit Royal Kruger Lodge and Spa****.

Spring (September – November)
Minimum: ± 18°C / Maximum: ± 32°C

Summer (December – February)
Minimum: ± 20°C / Maximum: ± 37°C

Autumn (March – May)
Minimum: ± 15°C / Maximum: ± 28°C

Winter (June – August)
Minimum: ± 12°C / Maximum: ± 25°C

 

Spring and Summer constitute our rainy seasons, during which the surroundings turn lush green. Many animals give birth during these seasons, and birdwatchers have the opportunity to observe numerous bird species that migrate to the park during this time.

Autumn and Winter represent dry periods in the bush, characterized by less dense vegetation and increased visibility of game. Animals frequent waterholes more regularly due to the scarcity of water in the bush during these times of the year.

What to bring :

  • Informal comfortable clothes

  • Warm jacket during winter and for safaris

  • Comfortable walking shoes

  • Swimwear

  • Sunblock, sun hat, and sunglasses

  • Binoculars, camera

Rules of Marloth Park conservancy (offenders will be prosecuted):

·       No walking around in the bush/ on the streets after dark (Sunset to sunrise curfew is enforced for all residents and guests).

. Day walks are allowed in Marloth Park, kindly ask the office for a map of the park. You can encounter many animals on the way.

·       Animals have the right of way at ALL TIMES. Please also remain vigilant when driving to avoid harming small creatures like tortoises, snakes, and lizards, etc,

·       Please do not touch any animals, they are not pets.

·       Please do not feed the animals – especially monkeys and baboons.

·       No loud music or noise – disturbing animals or neighbors is strictly prohibited and carries heavy fines.
