Men and women of courage, determination and perseverance, who traversed a rugged territory that’s geographic accolades include the third largest canyon in the world and the largest green canyon in the world, also known as the Blyde River Canyon Reserve.
The well-known Bourke’s Luck Potholes are a firm favourite with guests from around the world. The enormous potholes that have been gouged from rock by the flow of water at the confluence of the Blyde (joy) and Treur (sorrow) Rivers are a must see.
The Panorama Route is a visual feast of spectacular sights. But it’s also an exciting historical journey and testament to the endurance of man. The site of triumphs, wars, struggles and deaths resulting from the ambitions, hopes, dreams, loyalties and ultimate frailties of human beings.
