Swaziland Day Tour

The first stop on the Swazi day tour begins with an immersion into the rich Swazi culture at the Swazi cultural village, just before the Jeppe’s Reef Border Post. Here you can explore the architecture of traditional Swazi homesteads that villages were comprised of. High energy traditional songs and dances captivate guests as the words of ancient songs fill the village.

Then, guests are transported into a by-gone era of gold mining with tales of the history of the area as they enjoy coffee from the Pigg’s Peak viewpoint on the mountain top. The spectacular Maguga Dam follows, and it’s not hard to see why this Dam is acclaimed for its award-winning innovative design.

The Ngwenya (Crocodile) Glass Factory is known around the world for the fine craftsmanship of its resident glass blowers, who create beautiful pieces using traditional glass-blowing techniques. Here, you can watch the creation process and purchase stunning glassware that is exported worldwide. What makes this factory even more remarkable, is that they only use 100 % recycled glass, making it a wonderful environmental initiative too!

A lunch experience at the Ezulwini Valley’s Calabash is followed by a visit to the Swazi Candle Factory. Here, you can find beautifully crafted candles that combine creativity and technique with stunning results! The sheer range and variety of candles defies imagination and aside from being able to watch the fascinating production process, you can also purchase candles on site.

Re-entry to South Africa via the Mananga Border Post brings your Swazi day trip to a close, but we suspect the memories will last forever.
