Game Drive in Kruger National Park

As the animals in the wild approach the end of their night-shift, guests are awoken for coffee/ tea and muffins on the patio, in preparation of a Kruger Safari. Our knowledgeable guide is passionate about wildlife and his excitement is infectious as guests are admitted to the Crocodile Bridge Gate.

Breakfast and refreshments are provided on the safari, and our experienced guide’s love of the bush makes every drive memorable. Of course, we have no control over what our guests will see, but with our professional guide you’ll be in the best hands and can be assured of learning interesting facts about the animals, plants, birds and insects of the world-renowned Kruger National Park.

It’s an unforgettable immersion in the wild.

Return: Approx. 12h30 for lunch.

Dress: Comfortable casual wear, with a warm jacket for the early morning. You may also want to bring sunscreen and a hat. If you love photography, your camera is a MUST, and for birders, binoculars.

Kruger National Park Bush Walk

Get an unprecedented view of the wild, from the perspective of the wild animals who call Kruger Park home. Small groups of guests are guided through dew-laden grass and wildflowers by armed Trail Guides as the sun lights the morning along the horizon. As birds welcome the new day with song, you will be mesmerized by the fresh, unspoiled beauty of the bush.

This experience is a must for every nature-lover who will appreciate that it’s about so much more than just seeing the BIG 5. It’s also about discovering other animals, birds, insects, reptiles, and plant and tree species. It’s about following the spoors of wild animals who walked ahead of you and learning about everything from the intricacies of dung to the adaptation of all things wild for survival.

Please Note: The walk is not suitable for children under the age of 12, or people who have health issues that may preclude them from walking for several hours.

Return: Approx. 09h00 for breakfast.

Dress: Neutral-colored clothing and walking shoes. You should also consider a hat and sunscreen. This is also a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to get a different perspective on many of the smaller aspects of the wild, so don’t forget your camera!

Sunset Drive in Kruger National Park

Sunset drives are a wonderful opportunity to have the best of both worlds – see the birds and animals who are active during the day, as well as the nocturnal birds and animals. The sunset drive is facilitated by SANParks on an open safari vehicle with an experienced guide.

As the daylight fades across the savannah, and the pastel shadows morph the landscape into a soft glow, there is peace across the bush. But the peace is soon replaced by excitement as nocturnal animals silently travel along their starlit hunting trails.  From scrub hares to nightjars and genets to leopards, the bush comes alive with a new cast, and whatever you see, you’re in for a beautiful show.

Departure Time: Leave Royal Kruger Lodge at 15h30.

Return: Approx. 20h00.

Bush Braai Dinner in Kruger National Park

Join us on a firelit evening.
Start your afternoon with a Sunset Safari where you will be taken to an exclusive site for dinner.
Enjoy a welcome drink around the fire and admire the sunset and the stars.
Indulge in a bush dinner under the African sky with nature and sounds of Kruger animals as your background music.
After dinner, set out on a night safari with your guide before returning to the lodge.

Duration:  7 Hours (including travel time to and from the lodge).

Night Drive in Kruger National Park

Have you ever imagined what Kruger Park looks like in the dark of night? The SANParks Night Drive offers you a whole new perspective of Kruger, as you explore the playground of the BIG 5 when it’s dressed in nothing but shadows and moonlight.

The nighttime orchestra of the bush might include the baritone of wild lions, the laugh of a hyena, or the call of a jackal, accompanied by the soprano song of a hammerkop and the steady rhythm of the Cicada beetles. Every night, the wild performance varies, and you’ll be entertained by beautiful sights and sounds as experienced guides help you to have a deeper understanding of the ways of the wild.

Lodge Crocodile River Sundowners

Enjoy sundowners on the banks of Kruger Park’s famous Crocodile River, from the Marloth Park side. Watch the sun set over Kruger Park as you enjoy refreshing local wine/ beer and the sights and sounds of the bush, and maybe share stories of your sightings of the day.

The Sundowner Drive includes snacks and drinks.

Wildlife Discovery Walk – Marloth Park

An unparalleled opportunity to discover the beauty and detail of the bush’s rocks, insects, plants, flowers, trees, reptiles, birds and animals! Our guide is a veritable fountain of knowledge and this combined with his deep love of the bush, will make your nature walk interesting, exciting and unforgettable.

Duration: 2 Hours (Duration is flexible)

Departure Time: Custom departure times can be arranged. Summer departures are preferably early in the morning to avoid the heat of the day; however, late afternoon walks are also possible.
